WASHINGTON   -  U.S. Representative Jo Ann Emerson (MO-08) will visit the Mississippi River port at Marston on Thursday, August 30, at 4:00 p.m. CDT on the 26th Annual Emerson Farm Tour.

“The port is literally the window on the world for Southern Missouri agriculture.  the journey of abundant, safe, affordable commodities from our farms and fields to destinations around the world really begins at this point.  It underscores our needs for infrastructure and intelligent trade policy as we work to protect the interest of the American producer,” Emerson said.  “I look forward to visiting the port and talking with the people who run it so well.”

Members of the media and the public are welcome to attend.  The tour group will meet at the port at the St. Jude Industrial Park in Marston.
