Rehberg Meets with Jeff Jacobsen, Dean of MSU College of Agriculture to Discuss Funding
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Montana's Congressman, Denny Rehberg, today met with Jeff Jacobsen, Dean and Director of the Montana State University (MSU) College of Agriculture, and Tom McCoy, Vice President for research at MSU-Bozeman, to discuss funding priorities.

“Cutting edge technology to lead our nation’s ag industry is being developed right here in Montana, at MSU,” said Rehberg, a member of the House Appropriations Committee.  “Whether it’s teaching the next generation how to be successful in ag business or helping today’s farmers increase crop productivity, the MSU college of agriculture is making huge strides day in and day out.  I look forward to helping fund their priorities.”

Last year, Rehberg secured more than $5 million in funding for the MSU College of Agriculture including $1.8 million for the Animal Biosciences Reach Facility, $725,883 for the Montana Beef Network, and $547,143 for the Barley for Rural Development program.

“We really appreciate Congressman Rehberg’s support,” said Jacobsen.  “We currently have several research projects going on and though we realize it’s a challenging budget environment, we appreciate any help we can get.”
