WASHINGTON, D.C. – Montana’s Congressman, Denny Rehberg, today announced the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has awarded $1,018,655 in aviation funding to seven Montana communities.
“Air transportation is vital to Montana’s economy,” said Rehberg, a member of the House Appropriations Committee. “Business travelers, tourists and Montana families benefit from having improved facilities. This funding will help support numerous airport improvements and boost the local economy.”
The DOT will distribute the grants through the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The grants will be used for runway improvements, construction, and snow removal equipment purchases.
