MISSOULA, MT - Montana Congressman, Denny Rehberg (R-Montana) today announced Erik Iverson will relocate to Missoula this fall, continuing his work as Rehberg’s Chief of Staff while allowing Rehberg to maintain a greater presence in Western Montana.
“Everyone in the office knows how much of a premium I put on serving our constituents,” Rehberg said. “Deploying Erik to Missoula will enhance my constituent service throughout our large state.”
As Chief of Staff, Iverson oversees operations – including legislation, communications, and constituent services – in Washington, D.C., as well as Rehberg’s four Montana offices. He will commute to the DC office twice a month when Congress is in session.
“With our state office headquarters located in Billings, it just makes sense for me to be based in Missoula because Western Montana has seen so much growth in the last several years,” Iverson said. “However, I will be traveling all over the state as part of our efforts to better serve Montana.”
Iverson, 29, is a native of north central Montana and graduated from Polson High School. He received a B.A. in Political Science from Montana State University-Bozeman, and a law degree from the University of Oregon.
In 2001, then-Congressman-elect Rehberg selected Iverson as his first Legislative Director. He was named Chief of Staff in January 2002.
In addition to Billings, Missoula, and Washington, Rehberg also has offices in Great Falls and Helena.
