“Although we celebrate Father’s Day on the third Sunday of June, a father’s role is not bound by a single day, or even a single lifetime.  A Father’s influence shapes the lives and values of his children and their descendants for generations to come.  The Father’s who donate their time to coaching sports, serving as troop leaders and volunteering in their children’s schools have an impact that reaches beyond their families and into our communities.  With gratitude to all fathers, and special regards to those fathers serving abroad who cannot be with us this Sunday; I would like to take this opportunity to wish my fellow dads a Happy Father’s Day.”
