Convenes Rural Development Roundtable to Hear about Economic Needs
Washington, D.C. - U.S. Congressman Mike McIntyre and Billy Ray Hall, President of the N.C. Rural Economic Development Center, discuss Rural America needs at a recent roundtable discussion the Congressman held in Washington. McIntyre, Chairman of the House Agriculture Rural Development Subcommittee convened the roundtable to hear from North Carolina and national organizations about the economic challenges facing our rural communities. Hall testified about the urgent infrastructure needs in North Carolina citing the positive impact that water, wastewater, and broadband investments would have on communities and citizens lives. In addition, McIntyre heard from the National Association of Counties, National Association of Development Organizations, and the National Rural Water Association.
