    McIntyre Announces $2,400,000 for Wilmington International Airport

    Washington, D.C. - U.S. Representative Mike McIntyre announced today that Wilmington International Airport has received $2,400,000 in federal funds for infrastructure improvements.

    Congressman McIntyre stated, “Infrastructure is critical to passenger convenience and passenger safety and these federal funds will help the Wilmington Airport in both regards.   Congratulations to Director Jon Rosborough and all the fine folks at the airport for their work in securing these funds!”

    The U.S. Congress has appropriated and the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration has awarded ILM $2,400,000 in federal funds to construct and implement Phase 2 of their Storm Water Master Plan.  The funds will expand the existing dry storm water basin and install a pipe system to accommodate the future development of the North Ramp/General Aviation area.  Construction of the storm water project will start this fall.
