McIntyre Announces $136,050 for Ocean Isle Beach Fire Protection Association
Washington, D.C. - U.S. Representative Mike McIntyre announced today that the Ocean Isle Beach Fire Protection Association has received $136,050 in federal funds for operations and safety.
Congressman McIntyre stated, “Our first responders are on the front lines everyday protecting our citizens and communities. These federal funds will help Ocean Isle Beach Fire Protection do their job, and I congratulate all the great folks at Ocean Isle for their work in securing these funds. Safety and protection is first and foremost.”
The Ocean Isle Beach Fire Protection Association received the funds, appropriated through Congress and distributed by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in this round of grants. Funds for Ocean Isle may be used for operations and safety initiatives at the department.
Congressman McIntyre has been a long time supporter of the federal fire program and has worked repeatedly to increase funds for distribution to our nation’s fire departments.
