    McIntyre Announces $3,185,300 in Federal Funds for Community Improvements: Clinton, Roseboro, Whiteville, Harrells, Calypso, and Bladenboro to Benefit

    Washington, D.C. - U.S. Representative Mike McIntyre announced today that $3,185,300 in federal funds have been awarded to six rural communities in Southeastern North Carolina for community wide facility improvements.  These funds are provided through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

    Congressman McIntyre stated, “These federal funds will meet critical infrastructure needs, help create jobs, and keep our communities moving forward.  Rural America is the backbone of our great nation, and we must do all we can to help these towns and cities continue to thrive. ”

    The U.S. Congress has appropriated and the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development has awarded the following funds:
