CBC Chair Comments on the

Death of Publishing Giant John H. Johnson

 

(Washington, D.C.)- Today, U.S. Representative Melvin L. Watt (D-NC), Chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC), released the following statement regarding the death of John H. Johnson:

"The Congressional Black Caucus extends its sincere condolences to the family of American publishing legend, John H. Johnson.  During his tremendous career, Mr. Johnson built the largest African American publishing company in the world and through his magazines, presented African Americans in the most positive and respectful light.  Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Eunice and their family.  May God bless all of them."
