Congressman Ed Towns Encourages Small and Minority Businesses to Participate in Homeland Security Procurement Survey

The Deadline is May 8

Washington, DC; May 1, 2006, Congressman Ed Towns (D-NY 10) is encouraging small and minority businesses to participate in an online Homeland Security Procurement Survey; the deadline is Monday, May 8, 2006.

"There has been tremendous concern regarding the participation rates of small, disadvantage, and minority-owned businesses in the procurement process at the Department of Homeland Security," said Congressman Towns.  "In response to those concerns, this survey is designed to give insight into small, disadvantaged and minority business owners' satisfaction with the procurement process at the Department of Homeland Security, as well as a broad perspective of the effectiveness of existing programs.  The survey also seeks to garner a personal perspective from those who are actually dealing with the Department's Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization and departmental entities."

The online Homeland Security Procurement Survey can be accessed at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=201591898251.
