CONGRESSMAN FATTAH VOTES TO SUPPORT ARMY GENERAL
Congressman Chaka Fattah releases the following statement regarding his vote on the Continuing Resolution.

WASHINGTON, DC -- “In this time of war it is imperative that we continue to support and encourage our men and women who are so bravely serving in harm’s way. I respect their commitment to our nation and to the principles of freedom. Their service and their sacrifice is honorable.  Today I voted in favor of an amendment to the Continuing Resolution which supports Army General David Petraeus and his long exceptional military career.  His years of leadership have been crucial to ensuring that America  remains a nation secure in her freedoms.  I am pleased to support the whole of the bill which shores up the efforts of our men and women in uniform while the amendment supports the man who leads them. I take exception however, to rebuking the fundamental right of MoveOn.org to express its political opinions.”
