Langevin Talks Cyber Security on 60 Minutes

WARWICK, RI – Congressman Jim Langevin (D-RI) will appear on 60 Minutes, the CBS news magazine show, on Sunday, November 8, to talk about our nation’s growing and persistent cyber security threats. Tune in to watch his interview with Steve Kroft at 7 p.m.

“Cybersecurity is among the most serious economic and national security challenges we will face in the 21st century, and our nation must respond vigorously to threats against our cyber infrastructure,” said Langevin, co-founder and co-chair of the House Cybersecurity Caucus. “By participating in this program, I was able to once again call for the development of a comprehensive strategy to secure our nation’s computer networks and critical infrastructure such as our electrical grid.  I hope this piece will help raise awareness of the need for strong cybersecurity measures throughout government and the private sector.”
