Washington, DC -- Congressman Steve Cohen questioned Attorney General Alberto Gonzales today during a hearing before the House Judiciary Committee. He asked several tough questions about the extent of the White House’s involvement in the decision to fire several U. S. Attorneys, including Bud Cummins of the Eastern District of Arkansas. Although he was pleased with how the hearing went, Congressman Cohen remains concerned by the lack of clear answers from the Attorney General regarding who was ultimately behind the decisions to fire the U.S. Attorneys.
