“I want to express my sorrow for the three people killed by the tornadoes this week that ripped through Collin and Grayson Counties.  Nothing can replace the loss of Mary Ellen and Paul Harris Newson and Colson Owens.  Local officials, churches, and civic groups have come together to offer support for the victims of this tragedy. 

"My district staff in McKinney is working with local groups to ensure that immediate needs are being met.  I have contacted the Governor’s office to offer my assistance, and I will certainly work with FEMA in Washington should the State of Texas request assistance at the national level.

 “My prayers go out to the families of all those affected.”
