Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Kenny Marchant (TX-24) issued the following release upon receiving the “True Blue” Award for unwavering commitment and consistent support in defense of the family.

The award honors Members of Congress who have exhibited extraordinary leadership and commitment to the defense of family, faith, and freedom, according to FRC Action’s scorecard covering the votes of the 110th Congress. Recipients of the “True Blue” Award voted consistently for pro-life and pro-family issues.

These votes included:

• Supporting the prohibition on Funding Human Cloning
• Opposing the Federal Hate Crimes Act
• Maintaining the Mexico City Policy on International Abortion Funding
• Opposing the Employment Non-Discrimination Act
• Restricting funding to Planned Parenthood
• Preventing DC Same-sex “Marriage”
• Prohibiting funding for Washington DC Needle Exchange Program
