IRVING – U.S. Rep. Kenny Marchant (TX-24) last week toured the Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital of Hurst-Euless-Bedford. After the tour, Marchant met with physicians and other staff members and held a roundtable discussion. Marchant began the roundtable discussion by addressing the differences between government in Texas and Washington. He went on to discuss the stimulus package and healthcare issues. Staff members asked several questions to the congressman. Some of the topics included the economy recovery package, how the stimulus package would impact healthcare, nursing issues, and avenues to improve access to healthcare. The Harris Methodist Hospital is a full-service facility serving Northeast Tarrant County. Texas Health Harris Methodist Hurst-Euless-Bedford has more than 280 general acute-care beds, 50 psychiatric and behavioral beds and 225 active physicians on its medical staff. The Hospital is located is Bedford.
