Marchant joins City of Euless in honoring volunteers

EULESS – U.S. Congressman Kenny Marchant (TX-24) joined City of Euless elected officials, city staff and community members on Aug. 10 to recognize outstanding Euless volunteers. 

Marchant joined Mayor Lib Saleh, Police Chief Mike Brown, and Lou Baum in honoring volunteers for their selfless commitment to bettering the community. 

The honored volunteers included Nadine Barnes, Leah Benoit, Karen Duncan, Jerrie Keller, Don Martin, J.R. Goad, Tim Stinneford, Faye Stinneford, Lou Baum, Eric Bessemer and John Woodall.  Special awards were presented to Bill Ridgway and Johnny and Hell Voss. 

“As the city officials and staff all know, Euless truly has a wonderful community that gives back by volunteering,” said Marchant.  “The responsibility, dedication, and public spirit of these volunteers are to be lauded to the highest degree.”

In addition to Marchant’s remarks, Mayor Saleh, Police Chief Brown and Mr. Baum all provided remarks applauding the city volunteers.  Each volunteer was presented certificates of recognition for their achievements. 

After the formal presentation, a small reception with light refreshments was held in City Hall.
