CARROLLTON - U.S. Rep. Kenny Marchant (TX-24) visited with employees and toured the facility of Hilex on August 10 in Carrollton. 

Marchant said he was thrilled to tour the facility that provides so many jobs and economic benefits for the 24th District of Texas, the district Marchant represents in Congress. 

“I’m always excited to meet with employees and see the great work businesses are doing in the district,” said Marchant.  “Hilex is one of many businesses in the 24th that provides a great boost to our local economy in North Texas.”  

Hilex has over 230 employees in Carrollton and eleven facilities located across the United States.  Three of the facilities are in the North Texas region.  Hilex is an industry manufacturer of plastic bag and film products.

This was a first-time visit to Hilex for the congressman.  The event marked one of many community engagements in which Marchant has participated during the month of August, when Congress takes a month-long summer break.
