Washington, DC: Congressman Bob Goodlatte announced today that he has nominated the following students to a military academy for the class entering the fall of 2008.
Daniel Bintrim, son of Mark and Jeanne Bintrim, is currently a senior at Harrisonburg High School and attending Governor’s School. Daniel is a resident of Harrisonburg and has been nominated to the United States Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs.
Tracey Bruce, daughter of David and Teresa Bruce, is currently a senior at Mercersburg Academy and a resident of Harrisonburg. She has been nominated to the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis.
Amanda Hine, daughter of Richard and Mary Hine, is currently a senior at Spotswood High School and a resident of Elkton. She has been nominated to the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis.
Cory Lawrence, son of Gerald and Victoria Lawrence, is currently a senior at Harrisonburg High School and a resident of Harrisonburg. He has been nominated to the United States Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs.
Giuliano Freeo, son of Stella Freeo, is currently a senior at Virginia Episcopal School (VES) and a resident of Lynchburg. He has been nominated to the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis.
Geoff Ranowsky, son of George and Susan Ranowsky, is currently a first year at Virginia Military Institute (VMI) and a resident of Forest. He has been nominated to the United States Military Academy at West Point.
Joshua Ranowsky, son of George and Susan Ranowsky, is currently a senior at Jefferson Forest High School and a resident of Forest. He has been nominated to the United States Military Academy at West Point.
Troy Bowen, son of Kenneth and Noeline Bowen, is currently a senior at Central High School and a resident of Woodstock. He has been nominated to the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis.
Caleb Cole, son of Scott and Barbara Cole, is currently a senior at Central High School and a resident of Edinburg. He has been nominated to the United States Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs.
Kurt Brill, son of William John and Billie Sue Brill, is currently a senior at Buffalo Gap High School and a resident of Churchville. He has been nominated to the United States Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs.
Jessica Snead, daughter of Garland Ray Snead and Kelly Dawn Carter, is currently a senior at Wilson Memorial High School and a resident of Waynesboro. She has been nominated to the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis.
Alexander Breakell, son of Stanley and Lauren Breakell, is currently a senior at Patrick Henry High School and a resident of Roanoke. He has been nominated to the United States Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs.
Peter Broughton, son of Brad and Christine Broughton, is currently home-schooled and a resident of Daleville. He has been nominated to the United States Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs.
Jon Clark, son of Randy Clark, is currently a senior at William Fleming High School and a resident of Roanoke. He has been nominated to the United States Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs.
Barrett LeHardy, son of Marcel and Nancy LeHardy, is currently a senior at Hidden Valley High School and a resident of Roanoke. He has been nominated to the United States Military Academy at West Point.
Katrina Litchford, daughter of James and Leonetta Litchford, is currently home-schooled and a resident of Blue Ridge. She has been nominated to the United States Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs.
Mark Ryan, son of Stephen and Wendy Munro, is currently a senior at Patrick Henry High School and a resident of Roanoke. He has been nominated to the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis.
Bo Waldo, son of Doug and Suzy Wilson, is currently a senior at Faith Christian School and a resident of Roanoke. He has been nominated to the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis and the United States Military Academy at West Point.
Matthew Williams, son of Bob and Kim Williams, is currently a senior at Hidden Valley High School and a resident of Roanoke. He has been nominated to the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis.

Upon appointment, they will be attending outstanding schools and joining the world’s finest fighting force. I am confident they will serve our country with distinction. Folks in the Sixth District can be proud of these hard working young men and women,” said Goodlatte.
