(Washington, DC, November 1, 2006) — Delegate to Congress Donna M. Christensen announced today that she has been advised by Small Business Administrator Steven C. Preston that the Small Business Office on St. Croix will remain open despite consolidation by the agency of offices across the country.

“My staff and I worked hard with Administrator Preston to make sure that he understood that St. Croix needs an open branch office now more than ever,” Delegate Christensen said.  “I am pleased that he heard our concerns and in the final analysis decided that it was in the best interest of St. Croix and the entire territory that this necessary federal service be continued.”
