INSTITUTE OF MUSEUM AND LIBRARY SERVICES ANNOUNCE
GRANT SOLICITATION

(Washington, DC, February 7, 2007) — Delegate to Congress Donna M. Christensen is pleased to announce that the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) has begun accepting applications for FY 2007 grant programs.

The IMLS has five funding opportunities two of which are available for the territory to apply. The first is the National Leadership Grants with a deadline of March 1, 2007, this is geared towards library and museum projects that will have national impact and generate results that can be widely adapted or replicated. The second is the 21st Century Museum Professionals with a deadline of March 15, 2007, this one is geared toward programs that build the knowledge, skills, and abilities of museum professionals so that they will be better equipped to serve the needs of their communities.
