(Washington, DC, March 28, 2007) — Delegate to Congress Donna M. Christensen is pleased to announce that the United States Department of Homeland Security has awarded the Virgin Islands Office Homeland Security a grant in the amount of 33,100.00.

This funding is to be used for the purchase of video surveillance equipment under the Commercial Equipment Direct Assistance Program (CEDAP).  CEDAP is a program that provides smaller communities and rural areas with technology and equipment, together with training and technical assistance, to help enhance the first responder capabilities throughout the Nation.
