(Washington, DC, April 4, 2007) — Delegate to Congress Donna M Christensen is pleased to announce that the Virgin Islands Department of Health has received Ryan White funding in the amount of $1,145,277.00 from the United States Department of Health and Human Services.

This grant project for the Ryan White Care Act Title II, runs from April 1, 1991 through March 31, 2008 as a competing continuation grant.  The goal of this program is to enable States to improve the quality, availability, and organization of health care and support services for individuals and families with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) disease.
