Neil's Notebook Neil's "Hawaii Now" TV program, August episode
August 28, 2009
The September episode of Neil's community television program, "Hawaii Now," may be seen anywhere in the world. September's program features a discussion between Neil and Rep. John Tanner of Tennessee, a key member of the House Ways and Means Committee and Blue Dog Coalition.
The half-hour program also features Neil and his Healthcare Legislative Assistant Rose Hacking discussing upcoming work on healthcare reform in the House. These interviews are a follow up to two healthcare community forums Neil sponsored in May and July when he heard from Hawaii healthcare professionals, providers, and concerned citizens. It was part of Neil's ongoing effort to gather public input, as Congress moves to adopt reform legislation before the end of the year.
