WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Congressman Bart Stupak will hold town hall meetings in Cheboygan and Petoskey on Saturday, October 24. The meetings are open to the public and will provide an opportunity for constituents to ask Stupak questions on a range of issues, including health care and the economy. Stupak will also provide an update on his work in Congress.
Town hall information is as follows:
11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (EDT) Cheboygan High School Auditorium

3:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. (EDT) Petoskey Middle School Auditorium

“I enjoy talking with constituents, hearing their viewpoints and their concerns, and answering questions they have about key issues, including health care and the economy,” Stupak said. “I look forward to engaging in a respectful, civil dialogue on a broad range of issues during my town halls in Cheboygan and Petoskey. These town hall meetings, as well as my telephone town halls, provide me with valuable feedback and help to spur dialogue on these critical issues within the First District.”
Out of respect for all those wishing to attend the town hall meetings, only credentialed media will be permitted to record the events. Signs, banners and posters will not be allowed inside the auditoriums
Congressman Stupak held a town hall meeting in Negaunee, Michigan last month. On September 30 he held a telephone town hall meeting with 5,132 people representing all 31 counties in the First Congressional District joining the call.
