WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Congressman Bart Stupak (D-Menominee) will not be present in Washington, DC this week following the unexpected passing of his mother-in-law, Elaine O. Olsen.

Due to his absence, Congressman Stupak has had to cancel scheduled activities in Washington, DC this week.  In addition to votes, Stupak was scheduled to hold a joint hearing Wednesday as chairman on the House Energy and Commerce Committee’s Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations into the status of the manufacturing and distribution of the H1N1 vaccine.  This hearing will now be rescheduled for later this month.
