People on the continent of Africa continue to fall behind other developing countries in science and technology capabilities and educational institutions are not equipped to prepare its students for future leadership roles which will require the tools of science and technology. This project will help minimize the education gap in science and technology in East Africa by strengthening the skills of thousands of students with modern techniques and equipment which will lead to innovation and improvements in economic growth, education, healthcare, water supply and sanitation, urbanization, and climate change. Additionally, Daystar is recognized by leaders in the U.S. and throughout the world for its strategic role in the further development of democracy and civil society by shaping the future leaders of Africa and improves the standards of living for communities in Kenya and throughout East Africa by educating, training, and creating jobs. Indeed, Daystar’s success has a direct impact on the overall stability of the region and on the national security of the United States. Language - The Committee notes the contributions made by Daystar University and recommends Daystar University to be considered for American Schools and Hospitals Abroad support. |
