Liberty Science Center is committed to teaching science through its exhibits and through its own operations. This project would also create a showcase of the power of solar energy that could serve as a best practices model that incorporates the reduction of energy costs, cuts the stress on peak energy demands, and cuts emissions. By partnering with solar developers, Liberty Science Center will bring solar projects online more quickly and cost effectively. By partnering with solar developers, Liberty Science Center will bring solar projects online more quickly and cost effectively; and this project will encourage growth for the solar industry by encouraging solar capacity in these difficult economic times, in addition to generating between 50 and 100 green jobs to help stimulate New Jersey’s economy by employing a pool of skilled workers who will be available for the entire solar industry. Liberty Science Center will also implement a more focused environmental science curriculum that is relevant to the local schools, neighborhoods, and cities it partners with to provide science education.
