	Sister Cities International - Strengthening America's Image Program

	Amount Requested: $3,800,000
	Sister Cities International is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and fostering sister cities, especially between cities in the United States and cities in other countries. Funds for this request would be used for the Sister Cities International -Strengthening America's Image Program, a cultural, educational and economic development exchange programs for participating countries and cities. The program supports the Department of State’s mission to “foster mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries around the world.” Langauge: Of the funds available in this act for programs, not less than $3,800,000 shall be made available to Sister Cities International, Washington, D.C., for cultural, educational and economic development exchange programs for participating countries.
