| This project speaks to a national focus on saving the environment through conserving energy and using more environmentally sound, renewable energy sources, as well as lessening the country’s reliance on foreign oil. Through this project, the Essex County Environmental Center will demonstrate to all its visitors the benefits of solar power and other renewable energy sources. In addition to helping individuals and families examine and change their own behavior, this project aims to provide Essex County residents with knowledge and ideas that will help them understand and contribute to the public discourse on critical environmental issues of state, national and global import. | |||
