	Essex County Prosecutor's Office/Criminal Enterprise Electronic Surveillance

	Amount Requested: $148,400
	To purchase electronic surveillance / wiretapping equipment to facilitate court-ordered electronic surveillance of narcotics distributors, gang members and other criminal activity. Such organizations now make sophisticated use of modern communication devices (e.g. enhanced cell phones), whereas equipment currently utilized by the applicant is obsolete and incapable of accommodating large, multi-target investigations.
