| Township of Irvington - Irvington Elizabeth River Channel Project | |||

| The Elizabeth River Channel was built in the 1930s by the Army Corps of Engineers and runs through the center of Irvington from the northern to the southern border for six miles at a depth of about five feet. Maintenance and structural reinforcements has been neglected and the channel is a flood and public health hazard. Funds are requested to conduct an engineering survey of the channel and to repair and/or reconstruct the broken walls. | |||
