New York City - United States Congressman Anthony Weiner (D-Brooklyn & Queens), a member of the Homeland Security Subcommittee released the following statement in response to reports of a planned Al Qaeda attack on the New York City subway system:

         "Today’s report confirms what most anti-terrorism experts already know - attacks on New York are not in the "hypothetical" category.  They are real threats.

         "I will be sending a copy of this book to Homeland Secretary Chertoff.  He will find no mention of the Omaha subway anywhere."
