Supports the EPEAT, the green electronics certification system used by the federal government, several states, and many other large institutions to identify greener PCs and monitors. EPEAT criteria include strong requirements for design and manufacturing that make products more recyclable and reduce the quantity and toxicity of e-waste. Funds would be used to expand the number and types of products that EPEAT covers beyond PCs and monitors, expand the use of EPEAT globally, and increasing public visibility of EPEAT with the goal of increasing EPEAT use.
