Support fellowships for economically disadvantaged students and their teachers to participate in week-long Close Up Washington civic education programs, which help young people gain the confidence to express their views on the public policy issues that most directly affect their lives and become active citizens in our democracy. Funds pay for tuition, including transportation, accommodations, food, instruction, and administrative costs.
