Supports the development of the E-SMART Collaborative, an interdisciplinary clinical skills educational model for students of medicine, nursing, and dentistry. OHSU believes interdisciplinary health care teamwork improves patient care through better clinical outcomes and increased patient satisfaction. The collaborative will work to improve access to quality care by educating the next generation of providers with curricula that combines inter-professional education with telehealth, simulation, and other technologies. The purpose of the project will be to improve the health and well-being of Oregonians by leveraging technology and unique interdisciplinary educational models to teach the state's future health care professionals how to work more effectively and efficiently in teams. Funds would also be used to develop a faculty mentorship program using integrated technologies.
