Statement on Earmark Moratorium for 112th Congress

"As one who has long advocated for earmark reforms, I strongly support an across-the-board moratorium on earmarks in the upcoming session of Congress. I have conveyed my strong support for such a moratorium to Republican Leader John Boehner and Republican Whip Eric Cantor.  Adoption of a complete moratorium on earmarks is a critically important first step to reining in out of control spending in Washington."
