Statement on the Proposed UAE Port Deal

 "I share the concerns expressed by my Republican and Democrat colleagues in the House and Senate regarding a proposal to provide operational management of six of our nation's major seaports to a company owned by the United Arab Emirates.  The Administration should work with Congress to conduct a thorough review of this proposal.  Oversight of our nation's ports is critically important to our national security and this deal should not go forward unless we can unequivocally ensure that it does not compromise the safety of the American people."
