Millions of Americans are outraged and saddened by President Obama’s decision to reverse U.S. policy to allow your tax dollars to fund abortions overseas. The majority of Americans support restrictions on abortions and do not want their hard earned money to pay for something that is against their moral beliefs.

 

H.R. 708, which I cosponsored, would reinstate the ban on funding international organizations that perform or actively promote abortions. I also joined my colleagues in sending a letter to President Obama asking he not sign the Freedom of Choice Act, which would overturn virtually all pro-life laws nationwide.

 

My pro-life voting record has been solid throughout my 14-years in the House. While my party does not control the legislative agenda, I will continue to fight against the loss of innocent life.
