Americans are outraged that CEO's continue to receive enormous salaries and bonuses while the average family is struggling to make ends meet. Executives must be held accountable for their actions and prosecuted if they have broken the law.

The REBOUND Act, which I cosponsored, would prohibit the Treasury Secretary from giving away more TARP funds and require all repayments to go exclusively to debt reduction. It would also save taxpayers $460 billion by repealing the spending in the President's "stimulus" package.

Families have been forced to make difficult budget cuts while the federal government bails out irresponsible banks. Rewarding bad business practices with bailouts does not stimulate our economy or move our nation in the right direction. The best way to get our economy moving again is to enact fast-acting tax breaks for those who drive our economy: families, small businesses and entrepreneurs.
