Amount Requested: $245,000.00

This project will support the construction of the Missouri City East End Annex Family Health Clinic that will provide services for the uninsured, under insured, and low income residents in East Fort Bend County. The facility will be used for health and human services as well as primary care services for residents located on the east end of the county which currently comprises the bulk of county residents.. The bulk of health and human services are physically located in the center of the county, despite the fact that Missouri City and Stafford comprise the bulk of the county's population. Funding this project will support the strategic planning process of Fort Bend County Health and Human Services, and will contribute to the accomplishment of its goals and performance measures to (1) Monitor and track health status of the community to recognize problems and identify trends. (2) Mount timely and appropriate responses to identified health problems and hazards within the community. (3) Improve the efficiency and enhance the capacity of the public health infrastructure in Fort Bend County.
