The Department of Energy is committed to ensuring that young people are brought into the sciences and funneled into the future workforce needs of the Department of Energy.  HoustonWorks USA has prepared a two phase program for middle school youth that would introduce them to the technology areas, science, technology, engineering and mathematics. This program would recruit, engage and assist in bridging youth into energy science careers.  HoustonWorks USA offers the expertise of serving youth educationally and in career awareness.
