In an effort to assist the Department of Energy in meeting the needs of the future workforce, HoustonWorks USA is ready to meet the challenges that come with meeting those needs.  Students interested in science, technology, engineering and mathematics will be recruited from the local public, charter and private school to participate in a two phase program that introduces and as well as supports their interest.  The program is designed to produce more students in college majoring in the four fields described.  HoustonWorks USA services participating residents and businesses in the City of Houston and Harris County.
