Amount Requested: $4,000,000 The requested funding will go towards the development of an Information Management System at the National Center for Human Performance (NCHP) at the Texas Medical Center. Development of the proposed information management system will enhance the interchange of information between all persons who influence behavior and performance. The proposed work will directly benefit researchers, including defense related research programs aimed at enhancing the performance of soldiers and veterans by allowing scientists and care providers to efficiently find and share information with each other. This project will also help civilian care givers access information needed to help make informed choices which may lead to increased health and a more productive life. Organized in 2003, The NCHP is a collaborative scientific institute with a mission to maintain and enhance human performance through the ethical and appropriate application of research and education in medicine and related sciences. In addition to fostering groundbreaking research, the organization has been established to collect, archive and disseminate information on human performance. |
