  • Absecon Inlet, NJ - US Army Corps of Engineers Philadelphia District (100 Penn Square East, Philadelphia, PA). Project Description: “funds would be used to continue channel depth monitoring”...Funding Request: $222,000
  • Absecon Island, NJ – requested by the City of Atlantic City, NJ on behalf of the US Army Corps of Engineers Philadelphia District (100 Penn Square East, Philadelphia, PA). Project Description: "Funds would be used for periodic renourishment in Atlantic City and construction of the bulkhead along Absecon Inlet. “This funding is necessary on an emergent basis to protect our properties, retain our role as a tourist destination and to maintain the historically significant amenity.”...Funding Request: $17,600,000
  • Brigantine Island, NJ - US Army Corps of Engineers Philadelphia District (100 Penn Square East, Philadelphia, PA). Project Description: “Funds would be used to perform necessary project monitoring.”...Funding Request $80,000

  • Delaware Bay Coastline, DE & NJ Oakwood Beach, NJ – requested by Elsinboro Township on behalf of the US Army Corps of Engineers Philadelphia District (100 Penn Square East, Philadelphia, PA). Project Description: “Funds would be used to complete a Limited Reevaluation Report and to draft the Project Partnership Agreement for the project in Elsinboro”...Funding Request: $250,000

  • Great Egg Harbor Inlet to Peck Beach, NJ – requested by the City of Ocean City on behalf of the US Army Corps of Engineers Philadelphia District (100 Penn Square East, Philadelphia, PA). Project Description: “Funds would be used for periodic renourishment in Ocean City. The area has severe beach erosion and the threat of property damage is imminent.”...Funding Request: $6,800,000

  • New Jersey Intracoastal Waterway – requested by the Delaware River and Bay Authority on behalf of the US Army Corps of Engineers Philadelphia District (100 Penn Square East, Philadelphia, PA). Project Description: “This project provides for a channel 12 feet deep and 100 feet wide from Manasquan to Cape May and through the Cape May Canal. It is essential to secure necessary funding to complete this maintenance dredging. The Situation is serious and poses impact to a vital transportation and economic link between New Jersey and Delaware.”...Funding Request: $3,200,000
  • New Jersey Shore Protection, Hereford Inlet to Cape May Inlet, NJ - US Army Corps of Engineers Philadelphia District (100 Penn Square East, Philadelphia, PA). Project Description: “funds would be used to complete the feasibility phase for the shore protection project affecting the Wildwoods”...Funding Request: $300,000

  • Oyster Revitalization in the Delaware Bay, DE & NJ – requested by Rutgers University Haskin Shellfish Research Lab on behalf of the US Army Corps of Engineers Philadelphia District (100 Penn Square East, Philadelphia, PA). Project Description: “[Funds would be used] to enhance oyster recruitment, thereby increasing oyster abundance, sustaining habitat integrity, and providing an expanded resource to support the fishery.”...Funding Request: $2,000,000

  • Townsends Inlet to Cape May Inlet – requested by the Borough of Avalon, NJ on behalf of the US Army Corps of Engineers Philadelphia District (100 Penn Square East, Philadelphia, PA). Project Description: "Funds would be used for periodic renourishment in Avalon and Stone Harbor. “This funding is critical to the communities of Avalon and Stone Harbor. The area has been repeatedly subject to major flooding, erosion and wave attack and has been declared a National Disaster Area by the president on three separate occasions.”...Funding Request: $17,000,000
