South Jersey Priority Projects Request Disclosure

Below is the list of South Jersey projects requested by Congressman LoBiondo. The following projects are listed in alphabetical order:

Fiscal Year 2010 Homeland Security Appropriations Bill -

  • Emergency Operations Center – requested by the City of Brigantine (1417 West Brigantine Avenue, Brigantine, NJ 08203). Project Description: “To create a fully functioning and stand alone Emergency Operations Center with adequate backup power generation and the ability to communicate with governmental agencies, as well as other neighboring Emergency Operations Centers if a catastrophic event or incident were to occur.” Funding to create an Emergency Operations Center for the City of Brigantine, NJ would be a highly appropriate use of taxpayer funds as it would help the City maintain critical public safety and public health capabilities for its residents, including the elderly and disabled who may be unable to evacuate, in the event of a catastrophic event or incident…Funding Requested: $2,000,000
