I am pleased to announce that the
Second Congressional District of New Jersey will be participating
in the 28th Congressional Art Competition. The contest, called “An
Artistic Discovery,” provides an excellent opportunity to
encourage and recognize the rich artistic talents of high school
students.
The winning entry from our area will be displayed as part of the
national exhibition in the Cannon Tunnel leading to the U.S. Capitol
starting with an Opening Exhibition on June 24, 2009. In addition,
the second place artwork will be displayed in my Washington,
D.C.
office and the third place artwork will be displayed in my Mays
Landing office.
Teachers or students are responsible for calling to make arrangements
to get their artwork picked up or delivered no later than Friday,
April 24, 2009.
Judging will take place and the three winners will be announced
on Friday, May 15, 2009 at 7:00 P.M. at Ivy
League Mortgage at the Cornerstone Commerce Center,
1201 New Road, Suite 140, Linwood.
To make arrangements for artwork delivery, inquire about entry forms or copyright laws, or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Linda
Hinckley in my Mays Landing office at 1-800-471-4450.
