All Congressional tours must be requested through Congressman LoBiondo's office. If interested, please contact the office at least 4 to 6 weeks prior to your arrival in the Washington, D.C. area at (202) 225-6572. The sooner you contact our office the more likely you will receive tickets for the dates that you desire. Below is a comprehensive list of tours available to constituents of the Second District.
BUREAU OF ENGRAVING AND PRINTING - (202) 622-2000, 14th and C Streets, SW.
See how U.S. currency, at a rate of $30 million daily, postage and revenue stamps are printed. Real and counterfeit paper money and coins are on display. Public tours are conducted Monday through Friday (Federal Holidays excluded) from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and last approximately 35 minutes. Admission is free. The Congressional tour is Monday through Friday beginning at 8:00 a.m. and lasts approximately 45 minutes. For 24 hour information (202) 874-3188. Metro: Smithsonian.
CAPITOL BUILDING - (202) 225-6827.
Free public tours are available continuously between 9:00 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. daily beginning in the Rotunda, no reservation required. Special Congressional tours given by the Congressman's staff can be arranged by calling the Congressman's office. The tour lasts approximately 30 minutes.

John Fitzgerald Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts - (202) 416-4600, 2700 F Street, NW.
Public tours are Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. and last one hour. Visitors should enter through the Hall of States entrance. Special Congressional tours can be arranged through the Congressman's Office for Monday through Friday beginning at 9:30 a.m.

THE LIBRARY OF CONGRESS James Madison Bldg., Thomas Jefferson Bldg., and John Adams Bldg. - 1st Street and Independence Avenue, SE.
The public tour is in the James Madison Building; Monday through Saturday at 11:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. and last approximately 30-45 minutes. Visitors may enter at 101 Independence Avenue, SE. Tickets are required and available at the information desk of the Thomas Jefferson Building. Enter through the West front door (facing the Capitol). The tour includes the Great Hall and the Main Reading Room viewed from the Visitors Gallery. Special Congressional constituent tours are available by requesting them through the Congressman's office and are available Tuesdays and Fridays at 8:15 a.m.

MOUNT VERNON - (703) 780-2000.
The home of George Washington is open year round from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. April through October, Congressional tours are scheduled for 8:45 a.m. and last approximately 45 minutes. Admission: Adults $8.00; Seniors (age 62+) $7.50; children (age 6-11) $4.00.
NATIONAL ARCHIVES - (202) 501-5000, 8th Street and Constitution Avenue, NW.
On display are the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights, the Constitution, and a copy of the Magna Carta. The Archives are open daily from Labor Day to March 31 from 10 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., and April 1 to Labor Day from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
A "Behind the Scenes" tour is available by calling the Congressman's
office for a reservation only tour on Monday through Friday at
10:15 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. This tour lasts approximately 90 minutes
and is more extensive than the public tour. A month's advance notice
of the requested date is helpful in securing a tour.

NATIONAL CATHEDRAL - (202) 537-6207, Massachusetts and Wisconsin Avenues.
The Cathedral is one of the largest church buildings in the world. The 14th century Gothic style architecture contains President Woodrow Wilson's tomb. There are guided tours available Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 3:25 p.m., and Sunday from 12:45 p.m. until 2:45 p.m., except during services and special events. Three shops (open 9:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.) and the gardens (open until dusk) are also accessible. Call the Congressman's office or the Cathedral for tour reservations.
The Church is administered by the Episcopal Church and all worship services are open to the public:

SUPREME COURT - 1st Street and Maryland Avenue, NE. The U.S. Supreme Court Building is open Monday through Friday (except Federal holidays), from 9:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Public lectures are conducted in the Courtroom every 30 minutes, Monday through Friday, from 9:30 until 3:30 p.m., except when the Court is in Session. Special Congressional tours are Mondays through Fridays at 2:00 p.m. arranged through the Congressman's office.

ARLINGTON NATIONAL CEMETERY
Open daily, October through March from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and April through September from 8:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tour sites include the Arlington National Cemetery Visitors Center, Kennedy Gravesites, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Changing of the Guard, Arlington House (Lee's Home), and the Robert E. Lee Memorial.

This former private estate contains Byzantine and pre-Columbian art. The estate is surrounded by formal gardens, which are open daily from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Entrance on 31st and R Streets. Museum open Tuesday through Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Both are closed on Federal Holidays. Admission to Garden: Adults - $2.00; Senior Citizens and children under 12 - $1.00 Senior Citizens - free admission on Wednesdays.
FOLGER SHAKESPEARE LIBRARY - (202) 544-7077 (Tours) 201 East Capitol Street, SE (Behind the Library of Congress).
This library has one of the world's finest collections of rare English Renaissance books and a large collection of Shakespeare's works. Plus, there are many programs and concerts at the Folger theatre. The building and gift shop is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Tours are available Monday through Friday at 11:00 a.m., Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., and Saturday at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 a.m. Call for tour information and event times. Building open every day of the year except Christmas from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Open for touring unless a performance is scheduled. Metro: Metro Center.
GEORGETOWN - West of Rock Creek Park. Old Stone House, oldest standing house in Washington, Georgetown University, shopping boutiques, restaurants, and night clubs in the old colonial section.
HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL MUSEUM - 202-488-0400, 14th and C Streets, SW
The museum is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., seven days a week. Admission is free, but tickets are required. Beginning at 10:00 a.m., a limited number of free tickets are available at the museum box office, located at the 14th Street entrance. Tickets may also be reserved in advance through Ticketmaster, at (800) 551-7328, however there is a surcharge for this service. Metro: Smithsonian.
IWO JIMA STATUE (MARINE CORPS MEMORIAL) - Jackson Drive, off of Route 110, on the north border of the Arlington National Cemetery.
One of the largest bronze statues honors all Marines who were killed in battle since 1775.

JEFFERSON MEMORIAL - South bank of the Tidal Basin.
At the Swan Boathouse, a pedal boat can be rented to cruise the Basin. Metro: Smithsonian
KOREAN WAR MEMORIAL- Located adjacent to the Lincoln memorial. The memorial is staffed from 8 a.m. to midnight every day except December 25 by park rangers who are available to answer questions and present interpretive themes.
LINCOLN MEMORIAL - West Potomac Park at the foot of 23rd Street, NW. Open 24 hours daily. Metro: Arlington Cemetery or Smithsonian.
NATIONAL AQUARIUM - (202) 377-2825, Located in the Department of Commerce Building on 14th Street between Constitution Avenue and D Street, NW.
Exhibits of many species of freshwater and saltwater fish, including shark and piranha feedings. Open daily from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., except Christmas. Admission: Adults - $2.00, Senior Citizens and Children - $.75. Metro: Federal Triangle.

The subject of the Museum is dedicated to American achievement in architecture, urban planning, construction, engineering, and design. Includes interactive, hands on exhibitions. The Museum is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and Sundays from Noon until 4:00 p.m. Closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day. Metro: Judiciary Square.

Explorers Hall has exhibits depicting major discoveries, exploration, and research. Self guided tour includes a short film, hand-on exhibits, and a gift shop. The Hall is open 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 on Sundays. Closed on Christmas Day. Admission is free. NATIONAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS MEMORIAL - (202) 737-3400, E Street, between 4th and 5th Streets, NW.
The Memorial is in remembrance and honors all of America's federal, state, and local law enforcers. There are more than 13,500 officers inscribed on the blue-gray marble walls, dating back to the first known death in 1794. Metro: Judiciary Square.
NATIONAL SHRINE OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION - (202) 526-8300, Michigan Avenue and 4th Streets, NE.
This is the largest Roman Catholic in the U.S. Its architecture is Byzantine and Romansque in style. The gift shop opens at 8:30 a.m. and the cafeteria is open for breakfast and lunch. Tours are Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Group tours can be arranged by calling (202) 526-8300.

Architectural exhibits. Served as James Madison's White House following the destruction of the real White House by the British in 1814. The Treaty of Ghent was signed here, ending the War of 1812. U.S. MARINE BAND - 24 Hour Marine Band Concert Information (202) 433-4011. The Marine band is known as "The President's Own." All concerts are free and open to the public. The program and concert sites vary by season.
VIETNAM VETERANS WAR MEMORIAL - Henry and Bacon Drive and Constitutional Avenue, NW (located on north side of the Lincoln Memorial).
Constructed in black granite to recognize and honor all Americans who served in the Vietnam War. The names of 58,000+ who gave their lives or remain missing are inscribed in the Memorials walls. Open all year.

WAR II MEMORIAL -
The Memorial is located on 17th Street, between Constitution and
Independence
Avenues,
and is flanked by the Washington Monument to the east and the Lincoln
Memorial to the west. The memorial is operated by the National
Park Service and is open to visitors 24 hours a day, seven days

The Zoo is open daily, April 15 through October 15 from 8:00
