Financial Services Approves Lynch Amendment on Affordable Housing The U.S. House Financial Services Committee passed an amendment authored by Congressmen Stephen F. Lynch and Christopher Murphy (D-CT) to make housing more affordable for low-income and disabled Americans. The Lynch-Murphy amendment addresses an inequity in national housing policy that essentially provides less support for families living in high-rent areas such as Boston. Walpole Student – Winner of 2007 Congressional Art Competition Walpole High School junior Courtney Gouthro is the winner from the Ninth Congressional District of this year’s Congressional Art Competition.
